Do you have a passion for helping others and for enacting progressive social change? Then this is the program for you! The Community Worker program (http://bit.ly/2PcRjkH) gives students the opportunity to learn the systemic ways in which current issues, needs and injustices have developed and continue to be experienced by Canada’s many marginalized communities. This program is approved by the Ontario College of Social Workers (OCSWSSW) as an equivalent to the Social Service Work program offered at George Brown College. This program integrates theory with hands-on practice to strengthen the learning experience and includes 600 hours of supervised field placements. First-year students have the option to apply for an international placement in either Cuba or Jamaica. Visit https://www.georgebrown.ca/c101 for more information!
