He’ll discuss all three levels of MOS: Specialist, Expert, and Master, as well as what you need to do to earn each of these certifications. The Microsoft Office Specialist certification exists on three different levels. For the first, which is the Specialist, you only have to pass the basic exam. These tests focus on single Microsoft Office programs, each of which has a set of exams, including SharePoint and OneNote. If you want to be certified as an Expert, there’s a higher-level exam that’s quite a bit more involved than the basic test. The top of the mountain, however, is achieved when you become a MOM: a Microsoft Office Master. While the first two levels focused on specific programs, the Master level certification is substantially more difficult. You must pass the Expert-level examinations for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, then pick one more from either Outlook, Access, or Sharepoint.
